Pantone’s official colour for 2014, Radiant Orchid just so happens to be a gorgeous bridal shade and can be found bursting out onto the bridal scene bringing a bold, fun take on wedding style. Purple has always been a popular wedding colour choice; this year soft lavenders and bolder shades are making their way into floral décor in particular.
Purple has a stunning regal impression and when paired with gold, it can have a glowing complementary effect. Different tones of purples are stunning can also easily be paired to create a more three dimensional look.
When considering bridesmaid dresses remember to consider skin tones first. Olive and warm undertones can choose a shade with more vibrancy, like fuchsia and vivid pink shades. Fairer skin tones should lean towards the lighter shades: soft pinks, lavenders and lighter tones.
