Sometimes, when you’re knee deep in a project, you don’t always have the gift of foresight; this is definitely true when it comes to wedding planning. Especially if you’re the oldest or first in your family to get marry, the chances are you’re probably to busy to think about these little details. Here are a few wedding planning questions you haven’t thought of yet.
Am I really going to need someone to hold my dress as I pee?
Well, that all depends on the dress. If you’re in a full-length ball gown, you probably will be needing a set of hands to help as you do your business. Or you could always try this amazing trash bag contraption a lá Offbeat Bride http://offbeatbride.com/2013/08/how-to-pee
Is there an appropriate way to kiss at the ceremony that isn’t too PDA?
A very personal one. It definitely shouldn’t be a “OMG I haven’t seen you in two weeks” kinda smooch but it doesn’t have to be a quick peck that your granny would get from you either. Do what is normal for you and as long as there is no visible tongue and it doesn’t go on for 30 seconds, you’re good. It probably goes without saying, but no butt grabbing either!
When Can I Take off my Veil?
Everyone loves to go on about the veil revival, but no one ever really knows when to ditch it. It’s perfectly okay to leave the veil on but there are usually two good times to take it off. The first opportunity is after the ceremony (make sure you’re hairstylist shows your bridesmaid how to take it off) and the second is after your first dance. Once the veil is off, get someone to bring it to your bridal suite or decorate your chair with it. And if it isn’t either of those times and you still want to say goodbye, just ditch it… it’s your wedding!
